The school gates are opened at 8.40am and children in KS2 now come straight in to class. Although this will mean that there will be no opportunity to speak to class teachers as they will be in class, a member of staff will be present in the playground to take messages that need to be passed on. Please ensure that your child arrives in school so that they are at their desks and working by 8.50. Key Stage One will continue to line up outside their classrooms as usual.
The children’s safety is a high priority, there will always be an adult on each gate in the morning, so that children can be dropped off at 8.40am. This ensures that adults and children can be in classes and ready to start their learning promptly. If you do arrive after 8.50am, then you will need to enter school via the main office as the gates will be locked.
Every Monday is birthday box assembly, where children who are celebrating birthdays receive a birthday card during assembly time.
School Councillors meet every other Tuesday.
Digital Leaders meet every other Tuesday lunchtime.
Children in KS1 visit the library bus every fortnight. Check the calendar to see when the library bus is scheduled to visit.
A Singing Assembly is held every Thursday.
Children's achievements are celebrated in a special Celebration Assembly held every Friday. A child from each class receives a Star of the Week award and the winning team for the most house points within the school is announced. Mathletics Certificates are also awarded during assembly.
